So I was invited to join the grind room at TJ "FoRsAkEn03" Dubensky's house this week.  Him, his roommate Cory "focusdriver112" Fogle, and Chris "chrisp200" Perkins have been grinding pretty much everyday.  Today I decided to make the trip up here and have a group session.  Didn't run great for most of the day, but did manage to make $600 by shipping my first tourney on UB.  It was a $16.50 2.5k with 207 entries.  Heads up ownage again.

More importanty.  TJ is currently chipleader with 6 left in the 42k as you can see in the background.  10k for first.  One timmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeee.

4-way chop in 40k

Ran awesome once ITM....was a top 5 stack from 100 players down to like 18.  With 2 tables left it became a shovefest and I wasn't getting very involved.  Ended up getting to the FT with like 12-15bb but stacks were so shallow I still had plenty FE.  Won QQ>AK with like 7 left then 88>66 to get back to a playable stack.  With two of us at 20bb and the other 2 with at least double that we chopped.  I was reluctant because I was only 1 double out of it but figured to play it safe and take the deal.  Payouts were supposed to be 8.5, 5.7, 3.8, 3.1.  I ended up getting almost 4400 so I guess it was a good deal (definitely for $10 buy-in).  We played it out for the leaderboard points and I ended up second.  Catching up to FoRsAkEn03 and chrisp200 in the sliding leaderboard standings for Pittsburgh.

2/3 today 4betting with no pair post flop.  This one just happened and I thought it was pretty sicko of me.  ITM with about 60 left in 19.5k.  I just got these chips.

A few deep runs with nothing to show for it, maybe down $100 or so.  Got down to two tables in 10cubed and called off 18bb with 77 against JJ.  Got down to 20 left in 3r.  Shoved K7dd for 15bb into TT.  Played the heads up Omaha shootout miniFTOPS today.  Cruised through 3 rounds after getting a bye.  First roound in the money I busted with this being the key hand....

Played good today.  Ran good today.  Final tabled the 33k KO.  I was shortstack goin to final table.  Play was tight and I hung around for 30 minutes or so card dead as shit.  Eventually shoved A5o from the CU, button called with AJ......89Q5J board.  9th. 

Also at FT of $11 superstack 14k that ended up with a 37k prizepool.  Sittin 2/7 with 60bb.  Stacks are still pretty deep.

I got my hover back on at 320k and eventually blinds went up to 8k/16k (surprise surprise 20 big blinds).  I folded my first ten hands at my new table.  Then I got K8cc in the bb.  It folded to the CU who had been agressive.  He minraised and I snap shoved.  He tanked and eventually called off 300k with 33 (he had 50k behind).  Board bricked out til the river K.  EZ game.  689k at 8k/16k. 8/31.

still in the $5 20k on stars that started 6 hours ago with 5,719.  Hovered around 15-20 blinds with my 80kish stack for a while.  Finally doubled AQ>99.  Soon after I opened K9cc and the bb called (he was obv on tilt after losing a huge flip).  Flop was KJx with one club.  He check shoved and I snapped.  He had J9dd.  Turn was Ac eliminating the Jc.  He missed his one out on the river and I doubled again.  Sitting with 331k right now at 4k/8k.  22/58.  Lot of small stacks at my table currently so I shouldn't be at much risk in the short term.

had a 50k stack at 1k/2k in 10cubed.  Then I ran AJ into AA for 20k.  Ran 77 into AA for my last 25k.

Busted in both 22's on stars.  AQss<79dd......J96 flop with 2 spades.....6d turn.....9s river.

In the other one I had 15k at 300/600.  UTG limped so I limped my 88 in MP.  Flop was 832 all spades.  It checkedto me and I led for 1200, UTG shoved, I called, he had JJsd.....turn Ks, river x.  At the time I thought the flop was 2 spades and a club so I thought I doubled to 32k.  That sucked.

AK<JJ for 600k+ at 10k/20k with 2 tables left.  Board ran out xAKxJ.  That one hurt.  Felt like I was way on top of my game.  Literally smack my palm off my forehead, hunched over, fell on the ground, and laid there for a few minutes.

Way too much work for this

9th in 10cubed.  Had 100k with blinds at 3k/6k.  HJ min raised to open (he had been open/folding plenty), I shoved 66 on the button.  He snap called with KK. GG.

Pissed at myself for a hand I folded while on the final table bubble. I had 110k in the sb with A8o.  It folded to me and I opened for my standard 12,222.  Bb 3bet to 28k.  I tanked (while I was tankin blinds went up to 3k/6k so I only had ~15bb).  I folded.  I have to shove there.

Maybe I shouldn't have 3 bet shoved so quickly at the FT.  I had a little time to wait it out and make sure I got it in good.  Oh well.

Still got the $11 superstack goin but I've spewed my30k+ stack down to 16k at 400/800.  289/388.

Just got away with a light 4 bet. Weeeeee.

crazy 10 hand or so stretch.  I have 25k at 400/800

Hand 1.  I open AdKd for 2400 (I was about to timeout so I just 3xed it), bb calls with 47k behind.  Qd5dTh flop.  He checks, I bet 3865 (hopin he raises so I can get it in on the flop), he flats.  Turn is 8c.  He checks, I check (worried he may be trapping with a set).  River is 8s. He bets 8k.  AK may be good but I fold with 18k still.

Five hands later I steal bb from sb with A6o.

Next hand I reshove over a 10bb shove with 99.  He has QT. 245TA. Now I have 9k at 500/1000.

Next hand I min raise/call smaller stack shove with KK.  He has AQ.  A4378.  I have 1800.

2 hands later I double KK>AK (this is the one I hold, for 5bb).

Next hand I shove and ge blinds with KJo. 7k now.

2 hands later I call shove from bb with A9 and get a big hold against KQ which is awesome cuz I've been losing to every light shove the last 3 days.

Since then I've stolen 5 pots including one 3bet shove.

Sittin at 32k at 600/1200 hand for hand.

Stars hates me but I built up good stacks in ftops, daily double A and B, and 3r.

Then in Daily double A with 8k at 60/120 I got KdKs on the button.  MP limped, CU limped, I raised to 600 and both limpers called.  Flop T64 all diamonds.  It checked to me and I bet 1448, MP called.  Turn 2h.  He pots it for 4800 and I shove for 6200.  He has Ad2d. Just unlucky I guess.

Yesterday I played 2 tournies with a couple grinder friends, as well as a few friends that don't play much online.  We played a $1 SNG with 7 people and a $1 heads up shootout with 6 people.  I won both obv.

Unfortunately I would've needed to win another 50 of those to break even for the day.

Also shoutouts to chrisp200 and FoRsAkEn03 who shipped an $11 KO and a $3.30 6-max respectively. Both won $1300ish.

At a $9.90 final table on stars right now.  Only started with 125 and I need top two to profit tonight. Sittin with only 10bb with 7 left but stacks are really shallow.

yesterday and today

Yesterday was better than the usual Sunday, but still not good.  I had a few nice stacks, but nothing panned out.  My deepest run was in a $5 on stars with 7600 people.  Finished 43rd when I ran AKs into KK for 50+bb.

Today has been rough.  I've taken a lot of beats and had a few more that were like, huh? WP I guess.

Got 4 tourneys still running, getting close to the money in them.  No big stacks but decent.

Called a raise from the bb in the 5r with KdQd with about 25bb.  Flop was As5d2d.  Sb checks, I check, button c-bets, sb shoves, I tanked and folded.  no showdown. 

Blinds went up to 5k/10 and I had between 150k and 200k.  I shoved a few times here and there.  I had 66 in the sb and shoved when in folded to me for 180k.  BB woke up with AA. GG.  Out 13th.

Got down to 10bb in the superstack because I misplayed KK.  Shoved QdTc into AsQs.  AJ9 flop all diamonds.  Brick brick.  Too many outs. Min cash.

Down a little on the day which isn't bad considering the number of times I ran into AA.

Huge double in the $11-cubed.  KQs>A8s with another guy all in for 3bb with K3s.  Won next pot with a raise and c-bet. 121k at 2k/4k. 9/19.

I was about to bust on the bubble in the UB $3r when I ran my last 14bb shove with AT into a limped AK but I rivered a T. 17/33.  27 paid.

Just doubled to 28bb in the $11-cubed 10k AJ>A7 gettin to the money bubble. 35/81. 72 paid.

My other two tournies are a $3r on UB an a $26 19.5k on FT.  I have 15bb in both with blinds at 300/600 and 120/240 respectively.

Two min cashes yesterday.  Almost a deep run in the 42k but I went card dead at the worst time.

Got up early today to play since I have to bowl tonight.

Just busted in 3 of the 6 I started with.

One was a $3.30 KO on FT.  Called a 10bb shove with JJ, he had KK.  Same guy shoved 20bb a little after that and I called with 99.  He had AJ and hit a J.

I donked out of a $2r after tripling my 6k stack AQ>JJ>AT.  I called a huge check shove with 97 on a 985 board.  He had 55.  Terrible call.

In the $22 12k I had a 7k stack at 75/150 and busted minutes later.  Guy opened for 400, I 3bet QQ to 1355 and he flats oop with 2900 behind.  KJX flop and he led into me and I folded with 5500 left.  A couple hands later I ran AK into 88 on a K8x flop.  I busted with my last 2k bvb.  78<A8 on a 842 flop.

Don't really have a stack in the 3 I'm still in but not desperate yet.

Finished 2nd in UB tourney for $130 breaking me even on the day so far.  Pretty much nitted up the final table.  Lost a decent pot with JsTs.  I called a min raise from the sb and the flop came out 3s5sQd.  He check-shoved.  I called cuz his stack was small.  He had AA.  Turn was 9c giving me more outs but I missed everything.  Four handed I doubled up through the CL KK>JJ.  I busted him in third 10 minutes later JJ>TT.  Had like a 4-1 chip lead going into heads up where I went straight card dead.  He called all my raises.  I doubled him up KJ<KQ then again 99<KK then I busted K9<AJ.  I don't think there was much I could've done about it but it still sucks. No screen shot cuz I cant find the tourney now, I have the option clicked to show running/completed tourneys but no completed tourneys show up.  Oh well 2/35 isn't that impressive anyways.

Still in the 28k too.  Lost a big pot 10 minutes before the money KK<AA obv.  Lost 20k of my 43k stack with blinds at 400/800.  Hand for hand I opened 99 and got two callers.  Flop was J9x.  I check raised the button and he flat called.  Turn was another J.  I shoved and he called with TT.  Sittin with 45k with blinds at 800/1600.  26/86.

Spewed a bunch of chips in the 28k cuz of a missed flush draw and got knocked back to 2900.  Then I busted a guy AK>AJ, doubled 55>A9 on a 359 board, and busted a guy playing fearless with AT.....I called his shove on a AQ733 board with 3 diamonds.  Check-called all three streets.  He had 66.  I now have 15k with blinds at 80/160 14/584.  Playin this one to win for sure.

First the $16.50 deepstack on UB.  It only started with 35 people.  I had 11k with blinds at 30/60.  I had 88 in the bb.  It was raised to 210 and there were two callers, I called and we took a flop 4-way.  Flop was 84A with two spades.  I checked, original raiser bet 555, both preflop callers called, I raised to 2730, EVERYONE CALLED.  Turn was Td.  I shoved.  EVERYONE CALLED AGAIN.  They showed KsQs, AKo, and AdQd.  River Ts.  SCOOOOOOOP.  35k with 50/100 blinds. 1/22, 5 places paid.

Simultaneously I called two obv AK shoves with JJ in the 28k and daily double b.  Held in the 28k not in daily double b.  But I just tripled my 1700 in daily double b right as antes kicked in.  Feelin good right now.

Started with 8 tourneys.  Deep runs in two micros and ITM in a $22.  Also sittin with 32k at 200/400 in the all day $11 deepstack on stars.  Had about 50k then I made some bad calls considering its 30 minute blinds.  Sitting 82/235.

In the $4.40 4-handed 1000 cap I have 200k with blinds at 1250/2500.  With 60k I doubled through the chip leader AA>AK.  He tilted and stacked off shoving A6 on a 3997 board.  I had A9.  Lucky for me he was also at my table in the $3.30 6-handed 4k.  7/17.

I doubled up to 26k KJ>TT through him and he told me to die.  After doubling again AA>TT I knocked him out TT>A4. 19/137.

I've had less than 10bb for like 1.5 hours in the $22.  Nobody wants to double me.  Nevermind.  KK<A7.  River A.  Out 59/1316.

In the 15k KO I lost 500 of my starting stack 3 betting AA.  I got two callers and the flop was 9QQ with two diamonds.  There was a shove and a reshove and I folded.  They had 99 and Ad7d.  I busted 20 minutes later with AQ on a A78 flop with 2 spades.  He check-shoved 7s9s and turned a flush.

In the $8.80 500 cap I shoved 2800 from the CU with blinds at 100/200.  I had AcJc.  Button called with QQ.

I shoved 1600 with blinds at 75/150 in one on UB.  I had KJ in the CU and the sb called with AA.

The other one on UB one guy with a stack was trying to leave so he was shoving all in on every hand.  He already doubled up two short stacks and still had 4500 with blinds at 50/100.  He shoved and

Called a 34k shove with KJ in the big blind for 2k.  I had 56k.  Probably not the best call but the shover was obviously tilting and was all in like every other hand.  He had AQ AJxxx board.  I was down to 12k after the blinds passed with blinds at 1200/2400.  I doubled up through the same guy 44>A6...5673x board.  Need another double fast.  I have 25k with blinds at 1400/2800.

Built up a 50k stack with blinds at 400/800.  Then I ran QQ into AA and got knocked back to 25k.  Bought a few pots, banged a flop from the sb in a limp pot, and won a 20k flip A9>88.  Sittin with 57k at 500/1000 gettin close to the money bubble.  32/258 righ now.  189 paid.  Once again I need a top 15 finish for profit today.

It's Sunday so obviously I've been on tilt all day.  Bad beats and no race winning in big spots.  1/12 so far.  There were two that really sucked.  In the $16.50 deepstack on UB I had 16k with blinds at 400/800.  It folded to the sb with16k who min raised.  I shoved AK from the bb and he snap called with J9.  Board ran out KQ9Tx.  Out like 50th.  In the $3r on FT I built up a big stack, 72k with blinds at 600/1200.  I lost a few pots and was sittin with 55k with blinds at 1k/2k.  MP opened for 6k with 70k behind.  I shoved AsQs from the CU and he snap called with TT.  22T flop.  Min cash.

In the 42k, 33k, and double deuce I got off to good starts.  Got to 5k+ in all of them before losing races/taking beats/ill timed shoves.  Out of all of them before the antes even kicked in.

So I was left with 2 tourneys with starting stacks early on.  Down $200 on the day.  I decided to put sme tunes on instead of listening to football and the second song that came on was Miles Davis - So what.  I promptly doubled up in both.  Now let's get a dee run on a Sunday.

The two I'm still in are the $26 superstack early antes 18k and the $8.80 12k.  Both prize pools are way inflated obviously.

$3r on stars is killing me too.  Can't remember my first bust, but my second was AKxAJx55......A8432 board, right after that I lost JJ<99....9xxxx, then I lost AQ<J9 xxxxJ.  Already in for $30 20 minutes in.

Had a nice 40 minute deep run in the $17 12k super turbo rush.  Lost 1200 of my 3500 88<KT.  Right after I lost my last 2200 QQ<AJ......4994A.  Finished 45/1215.

My first tourney on UB didn't go too well.  With 1400 and blinds at 20/40 I opened KK in early position for 120.  CU called, button called, bb shoved for 900.  I reshoved for 1400, CU reshoves for 3k, button tanks and eventually calls off 3k.  BB has AdQd, button has Jd9d, button had AhTs.  Board runs out Kxxxx with four hearts.  Way to get it in there.  What was he thinking while he tanked, maybe they all have KQ?

Another horrendous one was in the $5-quad.  With AA I 3bet an UTG raise and the bb and UTG called.  Flop was Q62.  BB checked, UTG bet a small amount, I shoved and he called off with A2o.  Turn 2. You gotta be kiddin me.

 Ran into some tough spots in the last 15 minutes, top two to bottom set, AK<AA on a Kxx board for 110 bb stack.  AQ<AK.  8 down with 4 still running.  One min cash and no big stacks.

FT in the $5-quad

So, I fell back to the pack with like 3 tables to go.  I was playing awesome though, taking a lot of pots with out showdowns.  When I did go to showdowns I was winning.  I remember looking with 2-3 tables left at my stats and I had won 11-13 showdowns, pretty good percentage.

I got to the table like 6-9.  With 4 left, One guy had most of the chips 4mil, while the other three of us had 400k-800k.  Blinds were at 20k/40k.  It was pretty humorous.  The CL limped like every hand and hardly ever raised with his 100bb stack and the guy with 10bbs was limping too.  It was crackin me up.  Unfortunately I couldn't hit a flop with my rags when he they limped on my bb.  I ended up shoving 3bet shoving 77 against one of the other short stacks.  He called with JQo which doesnt make sense.  He was nittin the whole final table and then out of nowhere he calls off with JQ.  He flopped a J and held.  Out 4th.  $919 cash.

Not bad for my only cash today in ten tourneys.  I guess this means that the dual monitors set up is a success.  Even if I used the extra monitor primarily to watch chrisp200's tables, read p5's discussion, and choose random songs in itunes.  Lookin forward to another session tomorrow.

I thought it was JQ or JK so I called.  Wronnnnnng, it was QQ.  River A.  Finally a little positive variance.  EZ game.  3/111.

I set up my old desktop monitor from by broken computer.  I'm liking it so far.  I'm tryin to see a lot of flops.

It was workin pretty well.  I started with 10 tourneys.  I busted in two shoving 15bb.  AK<TT and AQ<TT.  The last 20 minutes have been pretty brutal.  AA<45.  He 3bet shvoed a 49J flop.  River 5.

Also had TT<AQ.  He check shoved a 447 flop.  River A.  That one was for a stack too.

Just got lucky in the $10cubed.  I was all in for a big stack with KK against AQ and 55(for less). Axx flop.  K turn.  100bb+ stack.

Got home from volleyball just in time to late reg for the daily doubles some other tourneys already running.  Ten minutes into daily double b I 3bet shoved AcKc into AsQs.  Two spades on the flop and another on the turn busted me.  Hopin to turn it around.

I was cruising along in the $11 superstack on tilt until I lost a pot KK<AQ......KxxTJ board.  The next hand I lost AK<45......AT322 board.  Ended up busting like 50th shoving light.

Took a few hour break and got back to it.  Should have stayed on break.  Started with 7 tournies about 3 hours ago.  I only have one left.  QQ<KK, KK<AA, AQ<AK, AA<AA, etc.  Frustating. 

I do have a stack in the $4 2R1A.....23k with blinds at 250/500.  Small field though, only 140 started.  I'm sittin 10th out of 46.  Need top 5 for a profitable day.  I'll probably finish 4th.

So I got in the money in the 250k with 22k and blinds at 600/1200.  First hand ITM I lost 12k of my stack QQ<AK.  The next hand I lost another 5k AT<A8.  The next hand I got a walk with 44.  The next hand I busted 22<88.

Right after that I had KcTc in the $3r with blinds at 400/800 I had 21k.  UTG and UTG+1 limped, I limped from UTG+2, UTG+3 limped, UTG+4 made it 3200.  All of the limpers, including me, called.  Flop was Qs9h4s.  It checked around.  Turn was the Kd.  UTG bet 3200 and I was the only caller.  River was the Qh.  He shoved and I called off my last 15k.  He had Ad4d and proceeded to talk shit.  After that I busted him QQ>TT.  I'm currently sitting with 77k with blinds at 600/1200.  216th out of 2116.

On a side note.  Drew Brees is killing me.

Terrible day so far.  I'm like 0 for 10-12.  I've won like 10 percent of the races I've had and lost to a handful of 3-outers.  Everytime I get AK I know that tourney is over for me. 

I still have 2 running, the $3r on stars and the $11 250k on stars.  I have decent stacks in both but there is a lonnnnnng way to still.

I got up to 500k with blinds at 4k/8k.  Lost a big pot AQ<AT and then a bigger pot on the next hand 77<AQ.  Just doubled back to 300k JJ>AQ.

Sittin with 280k with blinds at 10k/20k.  10th out of 12.

6-max king

Reg'd for 9 tournies today.  Out of 8 of them.  I think I had one cash, maybe two.

The one cash was in the $5r 12k 6max on full tilt that I ran deep in last session.  I had a few chances to get a good stack but couldn't hold/win a race.  I lost a bbxsb hand with Kc7c against T8o.  I flopped a flush draw but he rivered an offsuit T to win the pot.  Lost a big race to the same guy a few hands later.  AJ<TT.  Ended up position shovin A6o into AA.

The one I'm still in is the $5 7.5k 6max on stars.  I just got a big double.  I opened KcQc for 6348 with another 105k behind.  Big stack called and the flop was Tc7c9h.  I bet 8882 and he raised to 20k.  I shoved for 105k, he tanked then called with JsJh. Turn was Jc.  River was 3c. 

Currently sitting with 230k with blinds at 1500/3000.  7th out of 32.  I need a top ten finish for a profitable session but am also in dire need of a final table.  I can't remember what a FT looks like.

Awful day.  I got called by any two like ten times and lost every one.  Doesn't make sense.  There's a limper, I shove for like 15bbs, he calls like half his stack with J8o, 56s, K9s.  All day.  0 for 8.  That makes me a solid 1 for like 20 the past two sundays.

Saved my session with two semi deep runs.  One in the $11 40k on stars.  I got up to about 100k with blinds at 2k/4k stalled out for a bit and shoved KJ into AK for 75k with blinds at 2500/5000.  Finished like 200th out of 7900 two days after finishing 80th.  Incredibly frustrating.

My other deep run was in the 3r that was owning me.  I again was up a little over 100k.  Busted shoving TT on the button for 90k with blinds 3500/7000.  Ran into QQ and finished around 200th out of 8900.

Hopefully Sunday goes well.

Side note.  The last few weeks that I've been playing on full tilt and poker stars I'm up like $320 on stars and down $270 on full tilt.

I'm still in are the $3r 14.5k on full tilt.  I was 2nd in chips after the addon with 1800 left.  Fallen back into the pack.  Sittin on 22k with blinds at 250/500.

Also in the $11 superstack 14k.  I have 9k with blinds at 120/240.

Just had a sick rush in the $11 20k on stars.  I had 5700 with blinds at 50/100.  I opened AQo for 300 and the button called with 3300 behind.  4TQ rainbow flop.  I bet 481, he min raised, I shoved, he called with KQo.  I held and was up to 9500.

The next hand I opened ATo in middle position for 300.  The bb called and the flop came AK5 with 2 clubs.  He check-called 556 and the turn came Td.  He check-called 1272.  River came 7d.  Check-check.  He has QcTc.  I'm now up to 12k.

The next hand UTG+1 limps and I open UTG+2 for 300 with AJo.  The sb, bb, and limper all called and the flop came AJ9 rainbow.  UTG +1 opens for 300, I raise to 984, sb folds, bb calls, UTG +1 calls. Nice session at TJ "forsaken03" Dubensky's tonight.  Al "Franchizzle" Hronec was in attendence also.

Few min cashes through the night.  Two deep runs.

First one was in a $8.80 6-max on stars with 500 entries.  With ten left I was the short stack with 40k and blinds at 1500/3000.  I 3-bet shoved AJo against a button raise and he called with A9o.  He flopped a 9. GG.

Still going in the $3 one rebuy one add-on, or the 3-cubed as they call it.  Franchizzle is long gone and Forsaken03 is sleeping so I'm all alone with my thoughts and my blog.  Been listening to Donovan Frankenreiter, very soothing. 

Few big hands that I remember.  Had about 75k with blinds at 2k/4k.  I shoved a few hands in the previous half hour with big hands against a limper or two.  This time I had AcQc the bb.  There were two limpers and I just open shoved.  The sb snap caled with Kc8c.  I flopped an ace and held.  Got a little spewy after that but regained what I lost with a few small pots.

Got moved to a new table with  super loose bigstack to my right.  With blinds at 3k/6k he opened for 18k on the button.  I had JJ in the sb and decided to just shove and take it down rather than play out of positon against him but he snap called with 22.  I held and got to 300k.

Nothing major since then.  Sittin with 250k with blinds at 4k/8k.  17th out of 34.  There's a bunch of terribAL players at the table.  Ridiculour open raises.

On to today

Played 5 tournies tonight after my bowling league.  Bowled 160, 190, 141.  Needed to mark in the tenth of the 3rd game for a 500 series and I left a split.

Out of 3 of them.  Mostly races, not horrendous beats.

I've been all over the place in the 28k on full tilt.  I was allin with AJ for 3700 with blinds at 150/300.  Got called by KQ and lost but he only had 2800.  Stole blinds with my 900 the next hand then doubled A7>44. A little later I doubled with 55>kk.  A litle after that I doubled A7>AT.  Heeeeehawwwww.

So I had about 16k with blinds at 400/800.  I opened AA UTG+1 for 1985 (the year I was born) and the big stack that just doubled me 3bet to 7200.  MP called allin with 4500.  I shoved and the big stack called.  AA>AJ>KQ.

Right now I've got 28k with blinds at 500/1000.  Just in the money. 130 left.

I played 6 or 7 tournies yesterday.

Min cashed the double deuce on full tilt.  Shoved AT in MP for 10k with blinds at 600/1200.  Ran into AA.  Good game.

Min cashed the 9500 KO on full tilt.  Lost half my stack JQ<J7.  Made a comeback shove-stealing.  Had 30k with blinds at 2k/4k.  Big stack limped in MP, I shoved TT from the cutoff and he called with 6d7d.  4d5dx flop....he got there.

Went deep in the $11 250k with 34k entries.  I seemed to get a hand everytime I needed to double.  Had AK>AQ>88 for a big pot.  KK>Ax for a big pot.  AK>AQ for a huge pot.  I never seemed to get above 30 bb's though.  Shoved 550k from the CU with blinds at 25k/50k.  Button snap reshoved.  TT<AA.  I picked up a diamond draw on the turn but couldn't get there.  So close.

In early double B I had about 1500 with blinds at 30/60.  I checked A9 in the BB with 3 limpers.  A62 flop.  I bet and get one caller.  Turn 9.  I check, he pots it for 640, I shove for 1300ish, he calls with 22.

Got off to a good start in the 10k early antes too.  Called a raise with AsQs early on.  A55 flop with two hearts.  He bets 333, I call.  Turn is 8d.  He bets 720, I shove, he calls with JhQh.  River x.  Ever since I've been tryin to see flops against a few donkeys at the table but can't hit a flop against them.  Sittin with 6600 with blinds at 80/160, 20 ante.

Double to 180k KQ>A8.....then I caught a nice rush.  Raised A6o in the CU.  BB called.  Flop was A76.  He check-folded.  Next hand I steal blinds with AKs.  Then next hand I have JJ and the BB calls my raise then check folds on a 233 flop.  The next hand I have AJo.  BB calls my raise (2.5x bb).  Flop is A54.  He pots it for 60k (his standard bluff).  I shove for 250kish.  He calls with 67o.  Turn T.  River 3.  Fuckin terrible. 8th place. Cashed for $44. Almost enough to get me even for the day.

Three way limp pot for 240.  I have J4o in bb.  Flop Qh8s4d.  Checks around.  Turn is Qd.  I lead for 650 into 1065.  CU calls.  Turn is 6h.  I check, he bets 1200 into 2365.  I call.  He has KdJd.  Bink.

Damn.  Two hands later AK<QQ.  QKA flop. sigh.  Still in but need to make moves.

So I built up a big stack after I min-cashed in A.  I had AK>AT all in pre-flop to get me to 25k.  Then I won a nice pot with AJ>AT.....9TK5Q board......that put me around 35k.  After that, with blinds at 600/1200 a guyin MP with 30k opened for 3k, I just called from the CU and so did the BB.  Flop was 347 with two diamonds.  BB leads out 7500 into a 12k pot, MP folds, I tank.  I figure he doesn't have QQ+ without a 3bet pre, and I think he would check a set and hope for a cbet.  So I put him on 88,99, TT, or air.  I shove, he calls with TT.  Big hold.  up to 79k, 2nd in chips with 100 left.

After that I win some more pots, AJ>AT, 66>AJ against smaller stacks and chip up to over 100k.  Then I spew a little overplaying 22 OOP.

So with 90k and blinds at 2.5k/5k  I run TT into JJ and lose 25k.  Soon after that I'm in shove mode and pick up 77 in MP.  I shove 55k and the CU who has 50k calls with JQo.  He hits a J on the turn and cripples me.  Don't understand why anyone would call off there stack with Q high.

I was down to 4800.  I won back to back all ins K7>A5 and AJ>77 and I was back to about 50k.  I survived another round shoving here and there.  Then I shoved JQ into AQ ( the same guy that called off with JQ)........Board ran out JTxKx.  That motherfucker ended up winning the tourney.

Interesting Midnight Madness

Only tourney I'm playing and have had some mad ups and downs.

First big pot - I raise AT in MP and the button calls.  Txx flop.  I bet, he shoves, I call.  He has KK and I hit an ace on the river.

Soon after I have KK in the BB.  UTG limps for 120, UTG+1 raises to 360, UTG+2 shoves for 1500.  I reshove for 3500, fold, fold.  He shows AQ and turns an A. I'm back down to 1900.

Shortly after I have AKo in the CU.  I raise to 360 and the same guy who had the AQ shoves from the big blind.  This time he has AT and I hold.  Back to 4k.

A little later I call a button raise from the BB with AJ.  AQJ flop with 2 clubs.  I check raise and he shoves 9c7c and I hold.  Up to 8k.

Moved to a different table and lost a small pot.  I was sittin with 6500 when a guy with 2500 opened for 600 with blinds at 100/200.  I defended my bb with JsTs. Flop was T34.  I check and he shoves for 1800.  I call, he shows 55.  River 5.  Down to 4500.

A little later I have AdKd in the 240 BB with 3800.  MP shoves for 800, and sb reshoves for 2k.  I call and they have TT and QQ.  I flop an ace and hold.  Up to 7k.

Three hands later a big stack (new player) opens for 720 UTG, I shove AKo from the CU.  He tanks for a while an then calls with 99.  I flop an ace and hold despite a big sweat.  He had gut shot straight flush draw going to river.  Up to 14k.

Few more hands similar to these have me up and down. AK<A9.....QQ>AJ.

running back and playing worse

Brutal few days for KULP.  Can't seem to catch a break in anything and it's causing me to play worse.  Every hand I feel like I'm running into the nuts which makes it hard to Cbet/bluff.  Pair that with not hitting many flops and I seem to always hover around 15bbs (not good).

Another thing about playin bad is I just have a hard time taking micro tournies serious.  I'll find myself calling off decent stacks when I'm pretty sure I'm behind.  I'm like the kid that looks at his watch before making a bad call (well it's getting late so I guess I'll call even though I know you have it).  Except for me it's well it's only 5 doll hairs, I'm probably behind but what the hell.

So today I decided to play the $26 tourneys to see if I played better.  I started out bluffing away half my stack and got down to 1200 but made a nice comeback.

Sittin at 5k. 120/240 25 in the 42k guarantee and I just made a laydown that I havent been able to make the last few days.....Blinds were 100/200.  MP solid player has 7400 and opens for 500.  I have 5300 on the button and just call with AsJd.  BB (donk) has 2800 and also calls.  Flop is Ks4sAd.  BB checks, MP bets 855 into 1600, I call and so does BB.  Turn is 9s.  BB shoves for 1500, MP reshoves for 6k.  I'm gettin 2.5/1 on my nut flush draw if my A isn't good(10k in the pot and I have 4k).  I debate on making another bad call and eventually decide that a solid player wouldn't reshove there without a hand better than AJ so I fold.  BB has 4d5d and MP has KK.  River 3c.  Good fold.

In the $26 33k KO. I'm sittin at 7600 with blinds at 50/100.  I flopped a set of 3's on a AQ3 flop.  Led out on flop and got one caller.  Turn 8. I check, he bets 330, i make it 850, he shoves, I call.  He is drawing dead with AJ.  Bout the only way i can hold lately.  After that I fucked up a big hand against a big donk.  He opened for 3 units I called on the button with TT.  Flop T52 with two clubs.  He pots it, I put in a small raise, he insta min raises.  I shove.  He still has 4k ( we both had big stacks to start the hand).  He tanks and says he is folding AT.  I could've just called there with position and got at least another bet out of him on the turn ( probably all of his chips) but I thought he had an over pair and couldnt fold.


Sigh. Just busted in the 42k.  150/300  25.  HJ limps, sb limps, I have AKo with 4500 in the bb.  I shove, HJ calls with AA.

Off to a good start in the $11 superstack.  Went from 4k to 18k with three big hands in ten minutes.

First hand I had Qs8s in bb against sb. 50/100 TJx with one spade on flop.  Check, check. 5s on turn.  He bets 200, I call. As on river.  He bets 500, I make it 1300, he shoves, I call, he shows 55.  NH. TY.

Next time in BB i have A8o.  SB (new player) opens for 300, I call.  874 rainbow flop.  He check-calls 400. Turn 4.  He check-calls 879.  River 8.  He check-calls 1985 (the year i was born).  He shows A9o.  WP SIR.

Three hands later in the CU I get KK.  Same player opens for 360,  I 3bet to 1125, he calls.  Flop is KJ6 with two clubs.  He checks, I bet 800(lol), he raises to 3960, I shove, he calls and shows 7c9c.  Brick, brick.  WP SIR.

While I was typing this I flopped the nuts from the bb with 9To.  678. Got bet into on the flop and just called.  Turn A.  Got bet into and raised a small raise, he called.  River 2.  He bets, I raise o 1985(the year i was born), he reraises, I shove. He folds.  TY SIR.

24k right now 80/160 blinds. 

$2 rush rebuy didnt go well, neither did the $5r 6max.  7k early goin in the $3r....AK held against AQ and K9.

Not racing well at the moment.

Im startin to really dislike rush rebuys.

Gettin greedy/running bad

Played about 7 tournies today.  Gettin off to decent starts in most of them before gettin knocked out in one big hand.

In the $11 superstack I had 7k with blinds at 100/200.  I opened in mp with AQo.  Button was a superdonk(all-in blind stealing with big stack).  He 3bet and I shoved.  He has AKo. GG.  Still like my play cuz I think I'm way good or racing most of the time.

Got a big stack early in the $3r. Stalled out after the addon and was hoverin around 10k for a while.  Right after blinds went to 120/240 25 I get AKo on the button.  UTG(superdonk) min raises and there is 3 callers.  I shove 9k.  CU calls with AQs.  Board runs out KTxJK.

0 for 5 so far.  Still got the daily doubles running with 8k and 9k stacks.  150/300 25.

Alright, after saying for a while that I was going to start a blog, I've finally done it.  I just got back to grinding on fulltilt cuz I can only grind for so long. 

Started out good this week.  Shipped an $8.80 with 106 entries for $250.  At one point I was 19th out of 20.  Got a little minirush and made the final table with an average stack.  Never really ran into any resistance at the Final table.  Took a lot of uncontested pots and absolutely owned heads up against a nit.  Pretty much raised every button and checked or folded every bb.  Bet every flop in position and folded when he came over the top tryin to set him up for when i banged a flop.  Final hand I had 153k he had 59k.  2k/4k blinds, 500 ante. I had Ks2s in the bb.  He limped, I checked.  Flop was Js8s5s. YAHTZEE.  I lead out 5555 and he shoved.  He had AsKh.  Brick, brick.  Ship it.  Not sure why he limped AK on the button cuz like I said I hadn't raised a single hand from the bb.  Oh well, jokes on him.  Outkast - Spottieottiedopalicious was playing when I busted him.  Afterwards I listened to my victory song M83-moonchild while i held my hands in the air.  It's good to know Fulltilt doesn't always have the FU KULP button pushed.  The guy that pushes it must have had the day off.

Less than a day later I was bored so I fired up just a single $12  135 man rush turbo sng.  Got off to a good start and naturally spewed half my stack defending my bb with 9sTs.  Board was something like T852 with two spades. called a shove for like a third of my chips and ran into TT. No spade. DOH.  Tightened up after that and got back to KULP style.  Can't remember exactly how i got all my chips back but there was definitely an AA holding or two.  With 15 left I had about 35k of the 270k in play and knew I was going to win. 

Pretty much owned this final table too.  Had JJ hold against 55 with like 8 left.  Cruised all the down til 3 left. Got a run of shit cards for 10 minutes and lost the momentum I was gaining.  One villain busted the other villain and going into heads up I was down about 80k to 190k with blinds at 2500/5000 with a 600 ante.  The other guy wanted to make a deal.  The deal was $370ish and $315ish instead of $420 and $270.  I declined cuz I play for keeps. Scared money don't make none.  After a few hands it was back and forth and he said "you should just take the deal you can't beat me. you have no chance".  The next hand he raised the button and I shoved KTo.  He called with A6o and i flopped a ten and held.  I took over for the next 5 minutes and had him 180k to 90k.  Final hand I limped 22 and he shoved.  I called he shows 66.  2xxxx board. Ship it.  Lost Boyz - Only live once was playing when i busted him.  Naturally I listened to my victory song again. 

Played about 6 or 7 today with only one mincash.  Pretty standard can't hit a draw or fade one.  The only hand that sticks out in my head right now happened in Daily Double A.  I was bb heads up against the sb.  I had about 9k to start the hand and he had 7k.  200/400 blinds 50 ante.  He limps and I check 92o.  Flop comes TJA rainbow.  He checks and I bet 720 into a pot of 1200.  He calls.  Turn comes 5.  He checks, I bet 1750.  He calls.  River comes Q.  TJA5Q board.  He checks, I shove.  He calls with.....Q4?  I don't get it. Left me with 2k.  Oddly enough I came back and got my only mincash.  Bust hand was 88 with 13k left 500/1000 blinds.  Got called by AQ. River Q.  Welcome back FU KULP buttonpusher.

In other news Al "Franchizzle" Hronec was playing well in the two tourneys I staked him in until he got AA.
AA<KK in one and AA<JJ.  Tough luck.  Nice job to TJ "FoRsAkEn03" Dubensky for multiple final tables last night and chrisp200 for final tabling the 1$ rush turbo rebuy.  I can't imagine how many chips you would need to FT that.
